Terms

Last updated: June 26, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Backend Study Lab. By using the site, you agree to use the articles, examples, tools, and APIs responsibly and to verify important technical decisions before relying on them in production systems.

Educational content

Articles, examples, diagrams, and explanations are provided for educational purposes. Technical details can contain mistakes or become outdated as Java, frameworks, browsers, cloud platforms, standards, and security practices change.

Developer tools

Browser-based tools are provided as-is for convenience. Most tool inputs are processed locally in your browser, but you are responsible for deciding whether a tool is appropriate for your data and workflow. Verify generated code, schemas, formatted output, decoded tokens, timestamps, and other results before using them in production.

No professional advice

The site does not provide legal, financial, security, or professional consulting advice. You are responsible for your own architecture, compliance, security review, and production decisions.

Newsletter and API features

Newsletter and lightweight API features may be added or changed over time. The subscription API is designed to support Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare KV, or a future newsletter provider when configured. Mock or preview behavior should not be treated as confirmed production subscription storage.

Affiliate links and advertising

Future pages may include ads, sponsorships, or affiliate links. If affiliate links are present, the site may earn a commission when visitors purchase through those links, at no extra cost to the visitor. Editorial recommendations should remain useful and relevant to the page topic.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to attack, overload, scrape abusively, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with normal operation. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content through forms or APIs.

Changes

The site may change pages, tools, APIs, policies, or these Terms as the project evolves. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
